You know, unfortunately, a lot of the patients I see today are woman who have already had their reconstruction. They're not very happy with their reconstruction. They've had implant reconstruction and the implant doesn't quite feel like their own tissue. It's cold; freezing cold. It's cold outside, it's hot, it has no sensation, it doesn't move, it doesn't bounce. It's just not quite their own. And I see a lot of women that are not quite happy with their implants, and we can remove the implant and give you back your own breast out of your own tissue. And it's a breast that has no breast tissue; it's just fat. So we can recreate a breast mound; replace the implant with your own fat.

Typically takes more than one procedure: two, sometimes three procedures. But they're all small, outpatient procedures, two, three months apart, whether or not you're radiated. The process takes about six to nine months until you're done. But nothing great happens overnight. And even the standard reconstruction technique, when you put an expander in exchange for an implant, it takes two to three procedures and it takes that amount of time. And the bigger operation and there's an incision and there's scarring and there's foreign body and there's chance of complication. Here we're doing it with no incision, no foreign body, small procedure, low chance of complication, outpatient, and more predictable with better results.
